Had the full day to go windsurfing today so, after much deliberation (and checking weather sites), I opted for Daymer Bay. It's just over an hour away and supposed to be good in a NW and I wanted to give it another go as the last time I sailed there ('96) it was very marginal.

Pitched up and got stung for £3.50 for parking and launching so I was kind of committed, but the sun was out and one or two were planing so I stopped there. A few of the other Bigbury regulars had turned up so it was out for a long walk at low tide with the biggest you've got. In my case an 85L board and 6.2 was not enough so it was a case of trying upwind 360's with some progress. Tried out a mates JP FS 101 and found it was much easier on such a wide platform.

Decided to call it a day as there wasn't much happening. Would have been a no show if I hadn't been stung for the parking but the sun and sailing for the first time without boots this year (in the UK) upped the rating. Mental note to get a freestyle board and stop spending all my money on windsurfing holidays.
